Q&A
Common questions about BGW, answered.
Why do some gaems say they're blocked or unavailable?
Some experience owners may view the website and issue a take-down request, which may lead to some gaems being taken down or made unavailable.
- The code might not work after prolonged periods of time, as some might be from unreliable sources. If you encounter a problem, please use the Bug Report form.
- Some companies may change their policy, leading to gaems being blocked because of new embedding policies.
- Normally, you can just refresh the page and it will work again. If it's still blocked after refreshing multiple times, fill out the Bug Report form.
Why aren't there gaems like Roblox or Clash Royale?
Roblox: Impossible to add — it requires a local client installation and secure browser handshakes that can't be handled in a browser.
Clash Royale: Also impossible — it uses mobile-native code, and web versions are usually locked to official portals.
We are doing our best to find workarounds, but the platform makes it a constant battle to bring you the content you want.
- The "Sandbox" Effect: Every embed is put into its own sandbox, which means it can't easily save progress to your browser's cookies or local storage, often resetting high scores every refresh.
- The Size Limit: If a gaem's source code is too long, it gets cut off, leaving the gaem half-loaded or broken.
Why can't you just add gaems with the link?
Most gaem sites don't allow their content to be fully embedded for a few reasons:
- Embedding restrictions — Sites like CrazyGaems block iframe embedding for security and copyright reasons.
- Sandbox restrictions — The site runs in a sandbox that limits scripts, popups, and external content.
- Network blocks — School Wi-Fi or Chromebooks might block access to gaem platforms entirely.
- Copyright and hosting rules — You can't copy or host gaems from other sites unless they allow it.
What works best? Browser-only HTML gaems that are hosted safely. These gaems:
- Don't need downloads
- Can run offline (most of the time)
- Are less likely to be blocked
- Work in the browser without breaking
How does the team choose which gaems get added?
We pick new, thrilling gaems based on suggestions made by you all.
- If we find a gaem that's fun, meets our quality standards, and fits the site, we'll usually add it. We test to ensure it loads fast and doesn't break.
- You can suggest gaems using our request form. Popular requests get checked first.
